William teaches piano privately and with Services for Education (Birmingham Music Service). He teaches a wide variety of students, from beginners to advanced and all ages, including adults. All new private pupils are entitled to a free consultation lesson before enrolling on regular piano lessons. William has an outstanding no-fail record of exams, entering students for ABRSM, Trinity, Trinity Rock & Pop and Rockschool exams. William also previously coached Chamber Music at Old Swinford Hospital School, Stourbridge and taught at King Henry VIII School, Coventry.

William has accompanied several choirs, ensembles and solo performances. He accompanies regularly for ABRSM and Trinity graded exams. His ability to play by ear and improvise has been most helpful in accompanying for school concerts. In his first year of higher education he won the Royal Northern College of Music's Accompanist Prize at the Onken Vocal Competition. Other notable groups William has been involved with include the University of Manchester's Choir And Orchestra Society, the Sandwell Music & Arts Service, and more recently Services for Education (Birmingham Music Service). From 2015-2019 William often accompanied for the Birmingham Festival Choral Society. Since 2022 he has been accompanist for Birmingham-based choir 'Notorious'.
William also plays for musical productions, having played for Sandwell Academy, The Fellowship Players, All Stars Theatre Arts, Studley High School. Performances include South Pacific, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Our House, Legally Blonde and the Addams Family Musical.
William was taught the piano by Carolyn Tailby and won many local competitions in Birmingham, Dudley, Lichfield and Northfield before earning a place at Chetham's School of Music where he then studied with Peter Lawson. After successfully auditioning for the highly prestigious Joint Course in Manchester, he studied piano with Dina Parakhina at the Royal Northern College of Music and academic music at the University of Manchester. During this time he played in several concerts and gigs around Manchester as a soloist as well as with the D'Avanzo Piano Quartet. Notable solo performances include a recital performing Mussorgsky's "Pictures At An Exhibition" at St. Werburgh's Church, Manchester, and Shostakovich's "Piano Concerto No.2 in F" with the University of Manchester's amateur Choir And Orchestra Society. He participated in Old Swinford Hospital's staff recital series, his last performance there showcasing William's talents with his own suite arrangement of music from Bernstein's "West Side Story", and performing music from the video game "Final Fantasy XIII" accompanied by projected cut-scenes from the game.
William has continued to perform classical repertoire at concerts in the West Midlands, including a charity concert held at St. Hilda's Church in Warley Woods where he played excerpts from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker". In 2023 he took part in a piano trio with members from the Midland Chamber Orchestra, performing Frank Bridge's "Miniatures" at multiple events. In 2024 William joined singer-songwriter Ryan McNally as a supporting backing musician. Although he has been trained as a classical musician, William is also able to arrange and play film, pop and lounge music by ear. This also makes him an exceptional pianist for restaurants, weddings and other events.
